Now, at age 37, Warner has resurrected his career, again, and is having an MVP-type season. He leads the league in passer rating (105.1) and completion percentage (70.9) and is second in touchdown passes (21) and passing yards (3,155).

Benched running back Edgerrin James wants the Arizona Cardinals to release him, his agent said Wednesday night. Cardinals general manager Rod Graves said the team declined to even consider such a move. Agent Drew Rosenhaus said he would continue to talk to the Cardinals to try to persuade them to grant James his release.
